The industrial grid, and ICAD beyond it
Mussafah Industrial Area is divided into numbered sectors from M-1 to M-46, laid out as a grid of blocks linked by roundabouts. Sectors tend to cluster by trade, which is why a workshop, a timber yard and a logistics depot can sit within a few hundred metres.
South of it is ICAD, the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi — around 40 square kilometres split into phases ICAD I to ICAD V. ICAD I holds the heavier manufacturing across about 14 square kilometres; later phases run lighter, with ICAD V built around the automotive trade.
We deliver into both. For ICAD, give the phase as well as the plot — access roads differ and a wrong turning costs fifteen minutes.
Gates, guardhouses and warehouse reception
Many Mussafah and ICAD plots have a boom gate and a security cabin, and a driver without a pass will not get past. Give us a mobile that will be answered and the driver calls from the gate.
Where a warehouse or factory has a reception or store-keeper, we hand over there if you say so in the order notes. Otherwise we meet you at the gate — the norm here, not a failure.
Signage between sectors is inconsistent and several look alike from the road. A dropped GPS pin, or the plot number plus nearest cross street, removes the guesswork.
Shabiya and the residential side
Mussafah is not only industrial. Shabiya — the mid-rise apartment blocks numbered by sector, listed under both Mussafah and Mohammed Bin Zayed City depending on who is describing them — is dense residential, as is Mussafah Gardens.
These are ordinary building deliveries: building name or number, floor, flat. Cambridge High School and Elite Private School in Shabiya 9, and the public park in Shabiya 10, work as landmarks.
The bridge, the truck road and the landmarks
The Mussafah Bridge at Al Maqta is the main link back to Abu Dhabi island — a ten-lane crossing of the Mussafah Channel, and the route most of our runs take. The E30 Abu Dhabi–Al Ain Truck Road runs down the eastern side and carries the heavy traffic.
The landmarks every driver knows are Dalma Mall, Capital Mall in Mussafah East, the ICAD Mall in M-41 and the China Mall and China Market in M-45. Spinneys in M-9, Mussafah City Hypermarket in M-17 and Lifecare Hospital in M-4 do the same at sector level.
The ICP centre, behind the Preventive Medicine Centre and signposted from the main Mussafah roundabout, is recognised by almost everyone.
Hours, cost and payment
We open at 09:00 and close orders at 21:00 — useful in a district that works long shifts. Anything later arrives next morning.
Orders of AED 375 or more are delivered free; below that the charge is AED 30. Cash or card at the door.
