TEREA Delivery in Al Markaziyah

Instant delivery to any block in the central district

We deliver TEREA and ILUMA anywhere in Al Markaziyah instantly, from 09:00 to the 21:00 cut-off. The fastest thing you can send is a street number and a building name — the grid does the rest.

Al Markaziyah is the old downtown: a rectangular block plan laid out long before the islands were built, where street numbers still outrun street names.

Orders here draw on the same stock as the rest of the city: TEREA Blue — Indonesia, TEREA Yellow — Uzbekistan, TEREA Purple Menthol — Japan and IQOS ILUMA i PRIME — Aspen Green, for example.

Odd streets go across, even streets go along

Abu Dhabi numbers its streets by direction: odd numbers run across the width of the island, even numbers along its length. Once you know that, an address here almost reads itself.

The odd ones you will use are 1st Street (Corniche), 3rd (Khalifa Bin Zayed the First Street, or Khalifa Street), 5th (Hamdan Bin Mohammed Street) and 7th (Zayed the First Street, called Electra by many). The even ones are 2nd (Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum Street, or Airport Road), 4th (Sultan Bin Zayed the First Street, also East Road) and 6th (Fatima Bint Mubarak Street, still Najda to most).

East, West, and the code on your tenancy contract

The district divides into Al Markaziyah East and West, either side of Airport Road. Both halves are on our list, and saying which one you are in removes the most common wrong turn, since several building names repeat.

Plenty of paperwork here carries a Zone 1 sector code instead — 1-11, 1-31, 1-51 and their neighbours. Send that if it is what you have; with a building name it is enough.

The World Trade Center block

The tallest thing in the district, and in the city, is Burj Mohammed Bin Rashid at the World Trade Center — 382 metres over 92 floors. Beside it stands Trust Tower, an office building of 278 metres and 60 floors finished in 2012.

The complex also holds the World Trade Center Mall, the Souk and a Courtyard by Marriott, so "the WTC" needs a tower and floor with it.

Shops at street level, flats above

Al Markaziyah runs from low-rise blocks to high-rise towers, with one- to three-bedroom apartments and offices sharing stairwells, and a great many buildings have shops at ground level and homes above.

If your entrance is the residential door round the side rather than the shop front, say so in the notes.

Parking on Hamdan Street and Khalifa Street

Kerbside bays on Hamdan Street, Khalifa Street and the Corniche are Mawaqif premium parking — AED 3 an hour, a four-hour ceiling, charged 08:00 to midnight, free on Sundays and public holidays.

Hamdan Street is among the capital's busiest roads at peak hours, so meeting at the entrance keeps the last minutes short.

Landmarks the drivers steer by

Qasr Al Hosn sits on the block bounded by Zayed the First Street, Khaled Bin Waleed Street, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Street and Airport Road, with the Cultural Foundation and House of Artisans on the same grounds.

Al Ittihad Square stands on Airport Road between Hamdan Street and the Corniche, with its outsized sculptures of a coffee pot, an incense burner and a palm-frond food cover. Hamdan Centre, one of the city's oldest shopping arcades, is the other pin people give us.

Ordering, cost and payment

Orders run from 09:00 to 21:00; later ones go out next morning. At AED 375 or more there is no delivery charge, AED 30 below it, cash or card at the door.

TEREA sticks come from six manufacturing origins — Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Switzerland, Japan and Italy — and a carton is 200 sticks, ten packs of twenty. TEREA fits ILUMA and ILUMA i devices only, and we stock those too.

Neighbouring districts on the same terms

Twenty-six Abu Dhabi areas are covered altogether. Al Ain and Al Dhafra are not, and we say so rather than let you down.

Age and ID

Ours is a 21-and-over store as a matter of our own policy. The driver may ask for ID and may refuse to hand the order over at the door. That policy is ours to set, and it is not a statement about the law.

Quick answers

What is the fastest way to give an Al Markaziyah address?

A street number plus a building name. Odd-numbered streets cross the island and even-numbered ones run along it, so the pair places you almost exactly.

Do you cover both Al Markaziyah East and West?

Yes, both sides of Airport Road, on the same instant-delivery basis. Tell us which half you are in, as some building names repeat.

Can you deliver to an office in the World Trade Center?

Yes. Give the tower — Burj Mohammed Bin Rashid or Trust Tower — plus the floor and company name, and the driver calls from reception.

My address is written as a sector code. Is that usable?

Yes. Zone 1 codes such as 1-11 or 1-31 are common here; send the code with a building name, or a dropped pin.

Is there parking for the driver on Hamdan Street?

Only Mawaqif premium bays with a four-hour limit, busy at peak hours, so we usually ask you to meet the driver at the entrance.

How late can I order in Al Markaziyah?

Up to 21:00. Anything after the cut-off is delivered the following morning, once we open at 09:00.
