TEREA Price by Origin: Why the Same Flavour Costs a Different Amount in 2026

August 24, 2026

Reviewed by the Terea Abu Dhabi team. Last reviewed 1 October 2026.

Key takeaways

  • TEREA is produced for different national markets, and that market sets the price a reseller pays.
  • Six origins, one comparison basis: Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Switzerland, Japan and Italy, each priced individually per carton of 200 sticks.
  • As of October 2026, Indonesia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan sit at AED 120–130 a carton (about 0.60–0.65 a stick), Switzerland at AED 160 (0.80), Japan at AED 200–210 (1.00–1.05) and Italy at AED 200–240 (1.00–1.20).
  • Prices move with the market — the price on the site when you order applies.
  • There is no single "TEREA Amber" — one name is listed in several national ranges, at several different prices.
  • A flavour name alone is not enough to know what you are buying. You need the name and the origin.
  • Origin is a price and availability fact. We make no claim that any origin is superior to any other.

Why does the same TEREA flavour have more than one price?

Because TEREA is produced for different national markets, and each has its own price before the product reaches a reseller. Two cartons carrying the same flavour name can arrive from different countries and cost meaningfully different amounts.

This is not a retail markup game — the price gap opens upstream, in the country the batch was produced for, and every UAE reseller inherits it.

An origin-free price list is therefore close to meaningless.

Where are TEREA sticks actually made?

In a number of countries, not one. The manufacturer runs heated-tobacco stick production across several plants — Poland, Romania, Greece, Serbia, Italy, Indonesia and South Korea among them — supplying many export markets between them.

The trade record gives a sense of scale: the Romanian plant is reported to export around 90% of its output to 54 markets, the Greek plant to over 40 markets, and the South Korean plant roughly 30% of output to 12 Asian countries.

The consequence for a buyer is simple: "TEREA" is not one production run with one price — it is many, and which one you receive is the biggest factor in what you pay.

What do TEREA prices by origin look like in 2026?

We carry six origins — Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Switzerland, Japan and Italy — and each is priced individually on the site. Every figure is quoted per carton of 200 sticks, so the origins compare directly: divide the carton price by 200 and you have the cost per stick, on the same basis for every origin.

The shape is simple: Indonesia, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan sit at the low end, Switzerland in the middle, and Japan and Italy at the top. As of October 2026, the ranges on the site are:

Origin Per carton of 200 (AED) Per stick (AED)
Indonesia 120–125 0.60–0.63
Uzbekistan 120–130 0.60–0.65
Kazakhstan 125–130 0.63–0.65
Switzerland 160 0.80
Japan 200–210 1.00–1.05
Italy 200–240 1.00–1.20

The per-stick column is the carton price divided by 200: a carton at 125 works out at about 0.63 a stick, one at 160 at 0.80 and one at 200 at 1.00.

Those figures move with the market, so read the table as the shape of the range, not a quote. The price on each origin’s page, and the price shown at the moment you order, is the one that applies.

We do not publish per-flavour prices here — a name without an origin does not identify a product, so a price attached to one would mislead. Follow the origin links above for the live price of each line.

Why is there no single "TEREA Amber"?

Because "Amber" is a flavour name, not a product. We checked the manufacturer's own national market websites and found Amber listed in the UK, Swiss, Jordanian and Kuwaiti ranges — four national ranges carrying one name.

On our own shelf Amber comes from four origins, among them TEREA Amber — Uzbekistan, TEREA Amber — Switzerland and TEREA Amber — Italy, each priced on its own page. Other names work the same way, such as TEREA Silver — Kazakhstan and TEREA Bronze — Indonesia, while Japan uses its own naming altogether, as in TEREA Balanced Regular — Japan.

Each is produced for its own market and reaches a UAE reseller at its own cost. So "how much is TEREA Amber?" has no single answer, any more than "how much is a flight to London?" does.

The manufacturer's own wording for Amber also differs from market site to market site. We report that the descriptions differ; we do not claim the blend does, because we could not verify it.

The question What a flavour name alone answers What you still need
Which family is it? Yes — Amber is tobacco family Nothing
Will it fit my device? Yes — all TEREA fits ILUMA and ILUMA i Nothing

What makes one origin cost more than another?

The price is largely set before the carton leaves its home market, and the main influences are national rather than commercial. What follows is directional — where we cannot verify a figure, we do not publish one.

The factors that move the number:

  • The retail price in the source market. The manufacturer's own national sites publish national retail prices, and they differ substantially by country. That is the floor everything else sits on.
  • The national range itself. Markets do not carry identical line-ups, so some names simply are not available from some origins at any price.
  • Distance and freight. A carton from a nearby market and one from the other side of the world do not travel on the same terms.
  • How much of that origin is circulating. Origins arriving in volume price differently from those arriving occasionally.

Note what is not on that list: any claim that one origin is made to a different standard. We make no claim of that kind, in either direction.

How can you tell which origin you are looking at?

By the pack itself, not the flavour name. Packaging is the giveaway: every national market has its own labelling requirements and its own language on the pack.

What to check, in order:

  1. The language on the pack. Market-specific text is the fastest signal.
  2. The warning label format. Each market mandates its own wording and layout.
  3. The line-up the name belongs to. Some names exist in only one national range.
  4. What the seller states. An origin should be stated up front, not on request.

If a listing gives you a name and a price but no origin, ask for the origin before you order.

Which origin should you choose?

Choose on price and availability, because those are the two things origin reliably tells you. We rank origins on price and availability only — we make no claim that any origin is superior or inferior to any other.

A practical way to decide:

  • Ordering by budget? Compare the live per-carton prices origin by origin on the site — every one is quoted per carton of 200, so they compare directly.
  • Attached to a specific line-up? Availability will decide for you — some names exist in only one or two national ranges.
  • Ordering a carton at a time? Divide each carton price by 200 for the cost per stick — the fairest way to weigh one origin against another.

Confirm the origin on the day — availability by origin changes, and prices move with the market.

Quick answers: what else do people ask?

Why does TEREA cost a different amount from different countries?

Because TEREA is produced for different national markets, and each market's own price, range and shipping terms are set before a reseller ever buys it. That upstream gap is inherited by every seller in the UAE.

How do I compare TEREA prices between origins?

Every origin is priced per carton of 200 sticks, so the figures compare directly — divide the carton price by 200 for the cost per stick. Prices move with the market, and the price on the site at the moment you order is the one that applies.

How much does a carton of TEREA cost in Abu Dhabi?

It depends on the origin. As of October 2026, a carton of 200 costs AED 120–130 for the Indonesian, Uzbek and Kazakh lines, AED 160 for the Swiss lines, AED 200–210 for the Japanese lines and AED 200–240 for the Italian lines. Prices move with the market — the price shown on the site when you order applies.

Is TEREA Amber one product?

No. Amber is a flavour name that appears in several national ranges at once, and each of those reaches a reseller at a different cost. You need the name and the origin together to know what you are buying.

Does a difference in price mean a difference in the product?

It means a different national market, a different price at source and often a different pack. We make no claim that any origin is superior or inferior to any other.

Why do sellers list a flavour without saying the origin?

Sometimes because the flavour name is the thing people search for. Whatever the reason, a name without an origin does not identify a product or a price, so it is worth asking before you order.

How can I check which country a pack came from?

Look at the language on the pack, the warning label format, and whether the name belongs to a line-up that only exists in one national range. A seller should state the origin up front.

Do prices by origin change?

Yes, regularly. Prices move with the market, and the live figure on the product page at the moment you order is the source of truth.

How many sticks are in a carton?

A carton holds 200 sticks — 10 packs of 20. All of our origin pricing is quoted per carton of 200 so the origins are directly comparable.

Do all origins fit the same device?

Yes. Every TEREA stick, whatever market it was produced for, fits IQOS ILUMA and ILUMA i, and does not fit the earlier blade-based IQOS ORIGINALS generation or BONDS by IQOS.
