What can IQOS ILUMA PRIME do?
- Autostart and Autostop — Heating starts when a stick goes in and stops when it comes out.
- Lift Up — Lift the holder between sessions and it shows how many uses are left.
- Double tap — Double tap mid-session and it vibrates to report how much is left.
- Smart gestures — Gesture controls in place of a screen.
- Device Lock — Locks the device against use by someone else, set from the IQOS app.
Weighing this against the newer range? IQOS ILUMA or ILUMA i sets the two generations side by side. The current models are on the ILUMA i range page.
Which sticks does IQOS ILUMA PRIME take?
TEREA, from any origin we carry. TEREA sticks carry a stainless-steel element inside the stick and the device heats it by induction. The manufacturer's wording is that the system "heats tobacco from inside the stick" and "works without a heating blade". Because no blade enters the tobacco, there is no blade to clean — the heating path "does not require cleaning". The charging port still needs an occasional wipe.

Frequently asked questions
How many colours does IQOS ILUMA PRIME come in?

Can IQOS ILUMA PRIME use HEETS sticks?
No. The manufacturer states that IQOS ILUMA "cannot be used with HEETS tobacco sticks" and "is used exclusively with TEREA tobacco sticks". It does not work the other way either — a TEREA stick should not go into an older blade-heated device. A HEETS stick has no metal element inside it, so induction has nothing to heat.
